EasyStore Software Installation Instructions V1.1

Easystore Installation Instructions:

There are two ways you can install your EasyStore.  In the root directory or in a subfolder.  The two different methods are explained below.  If you would like an Easy Store representative to install your store for free, just submit a support ticket and we'll install your software as soon as possible. Usually within a few hours :)

To Install in the root directory (ex: www.yourstore.com)

1. Create an empty mySQL database.  (Your hosting provider should be able to help you here.)
2. Upload all of the Easy Store files to the main directory (root directory).
4. Change permissions to the folder 'cache', the folder 'uploadedImages', and all of the contents inside the folder 'uploadedImages' to 777.
5. Change the permissions of the file 'include.ini' to 777 located in install/ini/include.ini
6. Go to www.yourstore.com/install.php
7.  Enter the database details you should have from when you created your mySQL database.  Your hosting provider should be able to help you here.

To install your store into a subdirectory (ex: www.yourstore.com/foldername) :

1. Create an empty mySQL database.  (Your hosting provider should be able to help you here.)
2. Create a subdirectory folder in your ftp.
3. Upload all of the Easy Store files to this subdirectory.
4. Change permissions to the folder 'cache', the folder 'uploadedImages', and all of the contents inside the folder 'uploadedImages' to 777.
5. Change the permissions of the file 'include.ini' to 777 located in install/ini/include.ini
6. Go to www.yourstore.com/youreasystoredirectory/install.php
(be sure to replace 'youreasystoredirectory' with the one you created) and follow the instructions on importing the database.
7.  Enter the database details you should have from when you created your mySQL database.  Your hosting provider should be able to help you here.

That's it!  You can now log onto your easystore and configure it by clicking on the "admin" link in the upper right hand corner of your store.  Your default login is:

Username: admin
Password: admin

We recommend changing this under the profile options in your admin area for security reasons.
